SoftEther VPN is high-performance VPN software with the ultimate compatibilities to many devices. Windows, Mac, smartphones, tablets (iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows RT, Windows Mobile) and Cisco or other third-parties' VPN routers are supported. SoftEther VPN also accepts OpenVPN and Microsoft SSTP VPN clients.
SoftEther VPN is the most powerful and easiest VPN software in the world. It is freeware, and developed as an academic research project in University of Tsukuba, Japan.

You can now download binaries of SoftEther VPN here. SoftEther VPN is planned to be released as an open-source in the middle of 2013. The license will be GPL (Gnu Public License). We are now working to "brush-up" the source code, and translating comments into English, before publishing the source code.
